Lightboxes and Lettering are hosting an exhibition at the Nunnery Gallery to celebrate East London’s print history.
Featuring unseen historic photographs, prints, and a chance to try out printing using original printing presses, the event hopes to teach guests more about the ever-changing face of print in the East End.
The exhibition will include images of iconic East London print shop fronts, factory floors and machinery, alongside a collection of oral histories on print workers’ memories.
A variety of activities such as drop-in printing for all ages, a Letterpress printing workshop, and a tour of Counter Press will also be held.
The exhibition will run from 17 January to 29 March. Opening hours are Tuesday to Sunday, from 10am to 5pm. Free entry.
